About Us

Europa Composites is an established yacht refit and manufacturing business with their roots in Lymington, located in the heart of the New Forest. The business is now expanding to new premises located on the banks of the Lymington river, occupying over 15,000 square foot of light industrial units, for yacht refit, manufacturing, and large-scale storage. EC have skilled staff in all areas of their core business and are very much looking forward to the future with their new investment program.

The premises occupy a quarter of an acre and inside the main building is 10 tonne hoist facilities enabling large scale lifting and boat movement. Our engineering partners are in adjacent units, so end to end bespoke fabrication and metal works can be delivered seamlessly to our clients.

Aim

Our aim is to be the most professional and approachable large-scale yachting, storage, maintenance, boat building and refit facilities available on the South Coast. Thus, in turn, providing an end to end turnkey solution for every client’s needs.

Our Ancillary Services

We have agreements to support clients in other areas, this includes sails (North), trailers (Harbeck), BM (Folkboat Masts) and clothing (Helly Hansen). We will work with only the best brands. These ancillary services are supported by qualified professionals, who act as brand ambassadors, not only for the core business but for our ancillary services.

Fully qualified boatbuilder and shipwright having served his apprenticeship in Glasgow, made his way to Lymington 30 years ago. Rob has worked on major raceyachts and motorboat projects throughout his career

Highly skilled sailor and yacht repair specialist, having worked with RC44, TP52 and Round the World teams.

Deck Gear
Our preferred supplier is Harken and we work with our own team of experts to support standard and bespoke deck fit outs. Recent Nordic Folkboat fit outs have now been adopted by some of the top Danish sailors which is a testimony to our vision and ability. We strive to offer end to end service and work with the owners on how best to optimise their yachts.
Sails
We have worked closely with North Sails when approaching deck layout and new mast and rigging solutions. We are proud to be a North Sails supporter as they provide a depth of classes and service to support all our customers needs. Please contact us on how we can source sails or support you in this area of business or if you require.
Masts
Europa Composites are proud to be the sole UK agent for the new BM folkboat mast, one with unrivalled success and the first mast development within the European folkboat fleet for over 10 years. The mast has been used by the top Danish and German sailors since its inception in 2017 and featured by winning the Danish Championship and Gold Cups in those years.
Other Services
We are a Helly Hansen stockist as we believe in only working with the best brands. Let us take care of your crew clothing and branding. We source directly from Helly Hansen and have the ability to personalise any item of clothing to give a professional look to your sailing campaign. Any item from the Helly Hansen clothing range can be sourced so please do not hesitate to contact us. Discounts are available on large orders.

We were introduced to Europa Composites in 2017. The refurbishment of our Nordic Folkboat was absolutely second to none. They work within budget and agreed timelines. Europa have optimised our Nordic Folkboat to such a high standard we have now referred other European boats to Europa. They really did provide a first class service and we now use them every year to manage our boat outside of our European campaign. We believe our results our down to having the very best kit and Europa have provided that, from keel and rudder optimisation, to clothing and sails.
